'Fragments', the first release from Bristol based artist, DIS is a fractured blend of aggressive noise, industrial, fuzzed out texture, glossolalia, organic and synthesised drums, as well as spoken word. Drawing inspiration from artists as diverse as Rozz Williams, Otto Dix, Antonin Artaud, Diamanda Galás, Ornette Coleman, Friedl Dicker-Brandeis, Throbbing Gristle, and Jodorowsky to name but a few, 'Fragments' is a messy and tumultuous record.

Splintered organic drums, swirling layers of synthesised drone and bass frequency taken from various sources, and manipulated breath work form the basis of this collection. Explorations of text taken from Artaud's 'Pour un Finir...' ('Tutuguri - Le Rite Du Soleil Noir', 'Key 2 - a Curse') mark the beginnings of future works regarding this piece.

'Fragments' sees DIS step into a realm of isolation, ritual magic, aggressive antifascist protest song, and queer rebellion (IBECOMEAHYENA - see "Bloody Friday of the Purple Hand") - sounds like fun, right?!

Turn off the lights, turn the stereo UP and prepare to scare the neighbours. DIS has some stories to tell....
